A gift of long-term appreciated securities may provide you with greater tax advantages than a gift of cash.
You may deduct the current fair market value as a charitable gift and avoid any capital gains tax on the appreciation.
If you would like to donate stocks or mutual funds to support Catholic Education for PreK-8 grades, Faith Formation initiatives, Religious Education programs, and/or social justice ministries at St. Joseph Parish, just fill out the ​"Stock Donation – Letter of Intent”​ and send it to the Archdiocese.
