If you have driven past St. Joseph lately, you have seen it: the former Parish Office is down and the site is clear. Demolition began July 20 and was finished in time for the start of the school year. It took careful planning and a tight window between Libertyville Days and Mass in the Park, and we are grateful to everyone who made it happen.
About 70% of the building materials were recycled.
Parish staff have been settled in their new offices in the 200 Building since June 1, and a new lower-level conference center for staff and ministry use is under construction.
What comes next: our architect, general contractor, and volunteer Design and Construction Team are moving forward with the design and permitting for the new St. Joseph Parish Center, a place with a chapel, Fellowship Hall, classrooms, and Learning Center for generations to come. We will keep sharing updates here.
Thank you for your prayers, patience, and support.
