This year’s Mass in the Park began with rain, prompting a last-minute move indoors, but the spirit of the day was undampened. We gathered in the Church for Mass, lifting our hearts in worship and prayer, and celebrating God’s presence together.
After Mass, we shared a community meal of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and ice cream. As the skies cleared, families and friends spread out chairs and blankets to enjoy live music from Kings for a Weekend, while others connected inside the Koenig Center. Laughter, conversation, and gratitude filled the air as everyone embraced the unexpected and made the most of their time together.
It was a day full of small, meaningful moments: children running through puddles, friends catching up over ice cream, neighbors swapping stories, and a beautiful sunset with bright lightning streaks across the sky. We are deeply grateful to our volunteers and everyone who joined us. Even when the plans change, God’s presence always shines brightly.
